17 Signs You Work With Référencement

Anyone who knows anything about Google SEO will also google know that anchoring your back links has a profound effect on your rank within the Google search result pages. Its probably the most powerful principle of off page optimisation and many sites have ranked for competitive keywords purely based on anchored links.

The problem we are faced with as webmasters is getting those anchored links. Remember Google likes all links to be natural, awarded for quality content from other webmasters, but these links will take the form of our domain name 90% of the time hampering our SEO efforts.

What I want to do in this article is share a few ways of making sure you get the anchor text your want in order to rank higher and pull in more targeted traffic.

One of the most obvious things you can do is pick a business or domain name that includes the keyword you are trying to target, this will look natural and will increase your rankings for the given keyword at the same time. Sometimes it may not be appropriate to have the targeted keyword in your company name, if not try to implement it in your title tag or in your page title, anything that prompts a linker to use it to link to your site.

Another great way to get the optimised anchor you need is to use content distribution methods. Article marketing seems to be a method that has long been forgotten, however it is still amazingly effective, with articles you get to create a fully optimised page and anchor the link back to your site, what more could you possibly ask for?

Directories are also a great place to get the anchor texts you want, however only use directories that are relevant to your content, submitting to every directory regardless of relevancy will do little or nothing for your Google SEO efforts. Again with directories you are fully in control of the link text, use it to good effect and optimise it for your targeted keywords.

A very similar method of getting links is through social media networks. Most webmasters submit there own web pages to places like delicious and digg, if you are one of these then be smart about it. In the title of your submission include the key phrase, in fact even make it the key phrase. If your site goes viral you could see thousands of anchored links pointing to your site over night. Stick to these simple principles and you will see a massive increase in your keyword rankings.

Getting a high ranking on Google is a big achievement. There are many factors that go into pulling a high page rank. I have put together a small list of things that should not be overlooked when optimizing your site. Let's start from the top:

META Tags- Sorry, but Google doesn't read META tags. That includes the KEYWORD tag. Some search engines, however, still use them.

URL- Having a keyword or words in URL will help you somewhat. Having a key word in your URL is not by any means a guarantee, but it never hurts.

TITLE Tag- This is an important step, use this tag wisely. Place your top keywords here. Remember, your page is indexed starting from the top of the page. Make this one count.

Site content- The first paragraph of your site is a crucial part of your optimization. This will also be used as your site's description. Be careful not to overdo it on the keywords. Make sure your content makes sense. Your keywords should make up a total of 6% to 8% of your page content. An average of three hundred words is a good rule of thumb.

Header Tags- Header tag should be considered important. Make headers uniform on your site. I like using them on the top of my page just before the first paragraph.

ALT Tags- These tags are great for adding keywords to images, so take advantage of them. I also use mouse over text with linked text.

Links- Any links you have on your site should have key terms in them. Never use "Click Here" or other unrelated words when creating links.

Bonus tip: When exchanging text links, use key phrases as the actual links. This will certainly help you out.

Links exchange- This will help boost your overall ranking. It's actually better to be linked from another site (one way) than reciprocal (both sites linking to each other). Being linked one way is a huge bonus. However, the following should be kept in mind.

A: The site you are linking to needs to be related to your site.

B: Google's page rank of the site should be higher than yours; the higher the better.

C: Avoid linking to sites that have too many links. A site that has forty or more links will only hurt you.
